1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Ayla (the App), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. What Ayla Is (and Is Not)

Ayla is a health tracking app designed to help you monitor your menstrual cycle and pregnancy. It is a tool for personal awareness and record-keeping.

Important Medical Disclaimer: Ayla is not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Predictions (such as cycle dates or fertile windows) are estimates and must not be used as contraception. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical concerns. In case of an emergency (such as severe bleeding or acute pain), contact emergency medical services immediately.

3. On-Device AI Assistant

Ayla includes an on-device AI assistant for educational and general information:

  • Not Medical Advice: The AI assistant is not a doctor or healthcare provider. Outputs are generated by artificial intelligence and are for informational purposes only.
  • Potential Inaccuracies: AI responses may occasionally contain errors or inaccuracies. Do not rely on AI responses for medical decisions or emergencies.
  • Your Responsibility: You are responsible for how you use the information provided by the AI assistant. Always verify health concerns with a licensed professional.

4. Your Account

To use Ayla, you must create an account. When creating and using your account, you are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate account details
  • Keeping your login credentials secure
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Notifying us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account

5. Community & User-Generated Content

Ayla provides an optional Community where users can share questions and experiences:

  • Zero Tolerance for Abuse: We have zero tolerance for harassment, bullying, hate speech, medical impersonation, sexually explicit content, or spam. Violating these rules will result in content removal and account suspension.
  • Reporting and Blocking: You can report any inappropriate post or comment, and block any user. We review reported content and take action promptly.
  • Peer Advice: Community posts and comments reflect personal experiences, not medical advice. Ayla is not responsible for advice or information shared by other users.
  • Your Content & Rights: You own the content you post. By posting, you grant Ayla permission to display and host your content within the app. You can delete your posts and comments at any time.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Ayla only for its intended purpose: personal health tracking, learning, and community support. You will not:

  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or modify the App
  • Use the App for unlawful purposes
  • Harass or harm other users
  • Interfere with the normal operation of the App

7. Premium Subscription

Some features require a Premium subscription. By subscribing:

  • You authorize recurring charges to your payment method
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
  • You can cancel anytime through your device app store
  • Refunds are handled according to app store policies

8. Your Data

Your health data belongs to you. By default, it stays on your device. If you enable cloud backup, your encrypted data is stored securely. Community posts are stored on our servers so other members can see them. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more details.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Ayla is provided as is without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

  • The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
  • Predictions or AI responses will be accurate for your specific situation
  • The App will meet all your requirements

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Ayla, the Community, or the AI assistant.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms occasionally. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the App. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
