Our Promise
Ayla is built on a simple belief: your health data belongs to you. We designed this app with privacy at its core, not as an afterthought.
Local-First Storage
By default, all your health data stays on your device. This includes:
- Cycle and period tracking data
- Pregnancy logs and kick counts
- Symptoms, moods, and notes
- Insights and predictions
We do not have access to this data. It never touches our servers unless you explicitly choose to enable cloud backup.
What We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, sell, or share your personal health information. We do not use your data for advertising or build profiles about you.
Optional Cloud Backup
If you choose to enable Cloud Backup (a Premium feature), your data is:
- Encrypted end-to-end before leaving your device
- Stored securely and accessible only by you
- Deletable at any time from your account settings
You can disable cloud backup whenever you want, and we will delete your cloud data upon request.
Analytics and Crash Reports
We collect minimal, anonymized analytics and crash reports to monitor app stability, debug errors, and improve feature usability.
This collection is entirely optional. You can opt out at any time by disabling the "Share Anonymous Analytics" toggle in your Account Settings.
To protect your privacy:
- We never collect or track personal health data, cycle logs, symptoms, moods, or notes.
- Telemetry is restricted to general, anonymous events (such as navigating to a screen, completing onboarding, or application crashes).
- All analytical data is fully anonymized and cannot be linked back to you or your individual health database.
Third Parties
We do not sell your data to third parties. If we use third-party services (like encrypted cloud storage), they only process data they cannot read.
Your Rights
You can export or delete all your data at any time from within the app. If you have questions or want to exercise your privacy rights, reach out to us.
